Fasciated Haworthia is a unique and compact succulent known for its distinctive fan-shaped rosettes of thick, fleshy, green leaves that are marked with white, raised tubercles. Often called the “Zebra Haworthia” due to its striking markings, it thrives in low light conditions and is an excellent choice for both indoor and outdoor gardens.
Benefits:
Low Maintenance
Fasciated Haworthia requires very little care once established, making it perfect for busy gardeners or beginners.
Drought-Tolerant
Like most succulents, it is highly drought-resistant and can go extended periods without water.
Air Purifier:
It helps purify the air by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, improving the air quality in indoor spaces.
Compact and Aesthetic
Its small, decorative rosettes make it a visually appealing plant that doesn’t take up much space.
Care Tips:
Sunlight
Fasciated Haworthia prefers bright, indirect light, but it can tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch its leaves.
Soil
Use a well-draining succulent or cactus mix to prevent root rot. The soil should dry out quickly between waterings.
Watering
Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot, so it’s better to underwater than overwater.
Temperature
It thrives in temperatures between 60-85°F (15-29°C). It is not frost-tolerant, so bring it indoors if temperatures drop below freezing.
Propagation
Fasciated Haworthia can be propagated by offsets or leaf cuttings. Simply let the offsets dry for a few days before planting them in well-draining soil.
